Steam Approval Backlog Delays Indie Game Launches

A growing queue at Valve's Steam platform is pushing back release dates for several indie titles, highlighting the operational impact of platform review bottlenecks.

Valve’s Steam storefront is experiencing an unusually long review queue, causing multiple independent studios to miss their announced launch windows.

Studio Daimon, developer of Food Devils, submitted its early‑access build on 12 October but the title remains “awaiting approval” as of the planned release date, forcing a public delay.

Publisher 2 Left Thumbs reported a nearly two‑week slip for Wheel Make It, and several other developers have echoed similar complaints on social channels.

Why it matters for GPU / AI infrastructure

Many indie teams rely on cloud GPU clusters for final builds, testing, and live‑ops pipelines. When a distribution platform stalls, the compute resources they provisioned sit idle, inflating costs and disrupting scheduling for AI‑driven content generation.
