Overview of Muse Wonder

Meta introduced Muse Wonder and its larger variant Muse Wonder Full as part of its renewed push toward advanced AI systems. The company says the models sit near the top of public capability rankings and are designed to power features across its platforms, including a personal agent called Muse.

Key Capabilities and Benchmarks

According to Meta, the largest Muse Wonder model outperforms Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5.1 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index and trails only Claude Opus 5.5. It also claims advantages over OpenAI’s GPT‑6 Astra in specialized tests such as legal‑document reasoning and code generation.

Safety Mechanisms

To reduce risky behavior, Muse Wonder incorporates two novel mechanisms called Active Memory and Active Focus. These aim to keep the model aligned with a given goal and prevent drift during long‑running tasks like software development or deep research.

  • Active Memory stores recent context to maintain consistency.
  • Active Focus steers attention toward the current objective.

Meta also highlights extensive refusal training to block generation of harmful content such as bioweapon recipes or hacking instructions.
