Meta Acquires AI Coding Startup Conductor to Boost Agentic Development
Meta has bought Conductor, a startup that lets developers run multiple AI agents in parallel workspaces, signaling a stronger push into agentic coding tools.

Meta has confirmed the acquisition of Conductor, a young AI‑coding startup that lets developers spin up software projects by deploying multiple agents into parallel workspaces.
Conductor’s founder Charlie Holtz announced the move on his blog, noting that the team will join Meta’s Superintelligence Labs and collaborate with chief AI officer Alexandr Wang and product lead Nat Friedman. The startup’s cloud service will be discontinued on 20 November, after which user data stored in the cloud will be removed.
The platform’s agentic teams rely on models from leading labs such as Anthropic and OpenAI, allowing engineers to work on isolated parts of a codebase simultaneously while the agents coordinate in the background.
Why it matters for GPU / AI infrastructure
Meta’s push into multi‑agent coding will drive higher demand for large‑scale GPU clusters to train and serve the underlying models. Cloud GPU providers that can offer flexible, high‑throughput compute will be well positioned to support the next wave of agentic development tools.
