Kazakhstan Accelerates AI Compute Rollout with NVIDIA Vera Rubin Deployments
Kazakhstan is scaling its AI infrastructure with thousands of new GPUs, including upcoming Vera Rubin systems, while local AI firms such as inDrive and Pony.ai explore robotaxi services powered by NVIDIA platforms.

Kazakhstan’s AI ecosystem is moving from planning to large‑scale deployment. The national telecom operator Kazakhtelecom has already installed 400 H200 and 480 B300 GPUs across Astana and Almaty, and it plans to add more than 1,000 GPUs in the Data Center Valley next year.
Vera Rubin Rollout
In parallel, the company will deploy over 1,000 NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs in the Ekibastuz region, providing a new generation of accelerated compute for enterprises, researchers, and startups.
AI‑Native Companies Leverage the Capacity
- inDrive and Pony.ai are evaluating robotaxi services in Astana, using NVIDIA Hyperion sensor and compute platforms with the Halos safety system.
- Local developers gain room to train, fine‑tune, and serve larger models, creating a feedback loop that drives further compute demand.
Connecting this infrastructure with universities, research institutes, and industry partners turns raw GPU capacity into practical AI applications, reinforcing Kazakhstan’s sovereign AI ambitions.
