Google Launches Agentic Gemini for Enterprise Workflows

Google rolls out an agentic version of Gemini for businesses, enabling autonomous task execution across Workspace, Microsoft 365, and major data platforms.

At a Google Cloud event the company unveiled an agentic layer for Gemini that moves beyond conversation to autonomous action. The new agent can receive high‑level objectives, plan the required steps, invoke custom skills, and connect securely to internal systems.

Core Capabilities

  • Objective‑driven planning with automatic model selection, including third‑party options such as Anthropic Claude.
  • Direct integration with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Git, BigQuery, Databricks, Postgres, Snowflake, and any Model Context Protocol server.
  • A dedicated “tasks inbox” that shows reasoning, sub‑agent delegation, skill loading, code execution, and an audit trail attributed to the agent.

Early adopters include On, Shopify, and PayPal, while Gemini Enterprise already serves major firms such as BNP Paribas, Merck, and Ulta Beauty. Google will first target business customers to address security, scale, and performance before a consumer rollout.

Why it matters for GPU / AI infrastructure: Agentic workloads demand sustained, low‑latency compute for multi‑step reasoning and tool orchestration. Enterprises deploying these agents will need scalable GPU clusters and flexible spending models — exactly the capacity AiGpu cloud provides.
