European Cloud Providers Adopt NVIDIA Vera CPUs for Sovereign AI Infrastructure

Nebius, Nscale, and Verda lead a wave of European providers building on Vera CPUs to power agentic workloads, data processing, and sovereign AI deployments across the region.

European data center with NVIDIA Vera CPU servers powering sovereign AI infrastructure

A new wave of European infrastructure investment is coalescing around NVIDIA's Vera CPU architecture. Cloud providers Nebius, Nscale, and Verda are deploying Vera-based systems to meet surging demand for agentic computing — workloads where AI agents retrieve data, execute code, and orchestrate tools in real time. These workloads demand sustained per-core performance and high memory bandwidth, areas where Vera's LPDDR5X subsystem and Scalable Coherency Fabric deliver measurable gains.

Sovereign AI infrastructure provider Aleria is also integrating Vera to offer customers full data residency and operational control — a growing requirement for European enterprises and public-sector organizations. On the hardware side, Bull, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro are readying Vera-powered platforms, giving buyers flexibility across standalone CPU nodes and GPU-accelerated configurations.

Why it matters for GPU / AI infrastructure

Agentic pipelines spend significant cycles on CPU-bound stages: data ingestion, ETL, semantic indexing, and sandbox provisioning for code execution. Vera's architecture targets these bottlenecks directly, improving throughput for the CPU-heavy portions of AI workflows that sit alongside GPU model inference. For infrastructure teams, this means better utilization of existing GPU capacity and lower tail latency for end-to-end agent operations.

Early benchmarks from data-platform vendors including ClickHouse, Elastic, Polars, and Starburst confirm strong analytical and search performance on Vera. Meanwhile, sandbox providers such as Modal, E2B, and Vercel report faster cold-start times for the millions of ephemeral environments they spin up daily — a critical metric for agent fleets at scale.
