Eiliko Robot Maker Engages Independent Security Firm After Verge Exposes Data Leak
Eiliko, the company behind the AI‑powered robot charm, has announced it will bring in an external security specialist to audit its systems after a Verge investigation revealed that its devices exposed private user conversations.

Company Response and Security Measures
Energize Lab, the developer of the Eiliko robot, issued a brief statement acknowledging the issues highlighted by The Verge and confirming that it has begun a comprehensive security review.
The firm said it will retain an independent security consultancy to examine all backend services, and it has created a dedicated security email address for ongoing communication.
In addition, the company announced that it has disabled remote modification of the robot’s responses and terminated external access to its backend servers, though independent verification of these claims remains pending.
While the firm pledges to delete stored conversation logs, user profiles, and avatar images, it notes that long‑term memory and custom avatar features will be reinstated only after the security audit confirms they are safe, indicating that some data collection will continue.
