Apple embeds AI chatbot across Pages, Keynote and Numbers
Apple rolls out a built‑in AI assistant that can draft documents, design slides and analyse spreadsheets, while also opening its productivity suite to third‑party agents via the Model Context Protocol.

Apple has introduced a native AI chatbot that lives inside its core productivity apps — Pages, Keynote and Numbers. The assistant draws on models developed by Apple and OpenAI to understand the context of a document and act on it.
Core capabilities
- In Pages it can draft, restructure and polish written content.
- In Keynote it designs, animates and refines slides from a simple prompt.
- In Numbers it calculates, visualises and organises data, suggesting chart types and building custom tables.
All three apps now support the Model Context Protocol on macOS 27 and later, allowing external AI agents to plug directly into the workflow.
Beyond the office suite, Apple announced AI‑driven updates for creative tools: Pixelmator Pro gains a generative fill feature, Logic Pro receives a vocal‑track assistant and a redesigned browser, and Final Cut Pro adds a built‑in content hub with stock media.
Why it matters for GPU / AI infrastructure: The rollout relies heavily on on‑device inference, pushing demand for efficient local compute. As more productivity workloads shift to real‑time model execution, cloud GPU providers such as AiGpu see growing interest in hybrid inference pipelines that blend edge and data‑center resources.
