Anthropic Launches Claude Duet AI Agent for Professionals
Anthropic unveils Claude Duet, a research‑preview AI agent built on Opus 5.5 that automates daily briefings, task execution, and complex workflows for professionals and small businesses.

Anthropic has introduced Claude Duet, a new AI agent targeting professionals and small‑business owners. The service debuts as a research preview and is accessible via a standalone iOS and Android app as well as through the Claude web interface.
Powered by the latest Claude Opus 5.5 model, Duet connects to a user’s existing apps and delivers a concise morning briefing. Throughout the day it monitors those services, alerts the user only when attention is required, and can be handed tasks ranging from simple calendar scheduling to building multi‑tool dashboards, financial forecasts, prototypes, and full web applications. A built‑in virtual machine with a browser enables the agent to act on the web autonomously.
Safety is addressed through a dedicated classifier and a system prompt that blocks the sharing of highly sensitive data such as credit‑card numbers. Before any irreversible action — like sending a payment or deleting a file — Duet requests explicit user approval.
Anthropic cautions that the current release is an early version; it may misinterpret conversation threads or misjudge urgency, and it is not yet reliable for personal errands such as ticket booking.
Why it matters for GPU and AI infrastructure
Agents like Claude Duet increase the volume of real‑time inference requests and long‑running compute jobs, especially when they orchestrate multiple tools and browse the web. This trend pushes demand for scalable, low‑latency GPU clouds that can spin up isolated virtual machines on demand — exactly the capability that aigpu’s AI‑GPU platform is designed to deliver.
