Anthropic Launches Claude Duet Agent for Professional Workflows

Anthropic has introduced Claude Duet, a new agent‑focused application built on the Claude Opus 5.5 model, targeting professionals and small businesses.

Unlike consumer‑oriented assistants, Duet emphasizes proactive task automation—daily briefings, dashboard creation, and action suggestions—while running background jobs in a virtual machine and requesting approval only for sensitive steps such as payments via Stripe Link or Shopify Shop Pay.

The platform connects to more than 6,000 marketplace connectors and includes a built‑in classifier that blocks requests for credit‑card numbers or government IDs by default.
