Amazon’s Bee Unveils Wearable AI Devices Frontier and Eclipse

Bee introduces two new personal AI wearables – the wrist‑clip Frontier and the card‑size Eclipse – offering conversation summarisation, task creation and tight Amazon integration while keeping audio private.

After being acquired by Amazon last year, Bee has rolled out its first new hardware lineup. The Bee Frontier is a rugged, IP67‑rated wristband or clip‑on that can run for up to a week on a single charge, while the Bee Eclipse is a slim, magnetic accessory that snaps to the back of a smartphone.

Key Features and Privacy

Both devices listen to everyday speech, turn spoken notes into summaries, calendar invites, or to‑do lists, and retain a 14‑day memory buffer. A free tier provides basic summarisation; the $11.99‑per‑month Bee Pro plan adds unlimited transcripts, Alexa+ and Amazon.com integrations, suggested actions, daily memory highlights and a personal chat assistant.

Bee’s private‑compute architecture processes audio in real time and deletes the raw stream immediately. Transcripts are encrypted with device‑generated keys, ensuring that neither Bee nor Amazon employees can access them unless the user explicitly shares the data. Users may optionally link the device to Alexa for Voice ID‑triggered recording, but this feature can be disabled at any time.

The Frontier comes in Onyx, Lavender and Sage; the Eclipse is offered in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush. Both feature a single power button, an activity indicator, USB‑C charging, dual microphones with noise filtering, and companion mobile and desktop apps that sync with Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar and Apple HealthKit.
